We had so much fun at The Deck this summer. We headed over August 30 to hear The Thirsty Perch Blues Band. It was a perfect day and I hate to think that this will most likely be our last time here in 2015.
Love Bike Nights at The Score. They are so much fun! They have a great “beach” area with live music as well as lots of bike parking and a special entrance for the “bikers”.
We took a ride to Old Iron for dinner. It was a hot day but the food was great as usual and the ride fantastic.
We’ve discovered The Driftwood Bar and Grill in our biking adventures. We’ve come to really like the place. They have a great outdoor deck on the lake and great bands each weekend. It was a great day for a ride.
Scott loaded his bike up and took off with a friend to the most famous motorcycle rally in the world – Sturgis. He rode 3600 miles total. I was so incredibly jealous during the whole trip but I will be with him next year! Here are a few pictures he sent me of his adventure as well as a few I was able to capture on webcams.
While Scott was gone, I took advantage of the time alone to spread my quilting all over the house (it looked like a quilting explosion) and get some things done. I finished a quilt made from baby clothes for a friend. Most of the clothes were infant clothes or knit so it was more like a t-shirt quilt in the end. I had made another quilt for the sibling and had a lot of scraps so I used those and made her another quilt. I think they both turned out cute. I also had a quilt top I started in a class at AQS a few years ago. I got that top pieced. Not quilted but the top is DUN. I also binded a quilt that I had quilted several years ago. I couldn’t get a great picture of it but I love the way it finished.
