The birdhouse embroidery on Vignette is driving me nuts so I decided to pull out the center blocks and finish the piecing, fuse the applique and trace the stitching. I really like the way they are turning out.
We often see turtles at the local parks. We have also seen the holes where mamma turtles have dug to lay their eggs. Scott actually saw a baby turtle at the park last week. I wasn’t with him so I didn’t get to see it myself but you could easily walk right by it and not know it was a turtle since it was so tiny. I can’t believe the detail that it has being so young.
I’ve decided to join Rhonda at The Quilter in the Gap on her 2nd quarter Finish-A-Long. Basically, I select UFO’s that aren’t completed and get them done in that time period to be eligible for some great prizes. Here are my entries and some horrible pictures to go along with it:
- Aunt Grace’s Garden Party. It’s at the longarmers and should be back in the next couple of weeks. I will have to bind and label it.
- Airplane Quilt. I made this last year. It’s basted and ready to quilt.
- Lab Wallhanging. I bought the applique at the West Michigan Quilt Show last year and it’s adhered to the background and borders have been added. I just need to put it together and quilt it. This picture was taken before I did anything to it.
- Lil’ Twister. I purchased a Lil’ Twister to use for my stashbusting project I’m working on right now. I put this together with the scraps from Aunt Grace. It needs a border as well as the other finishes
So, it’s time to get r’ done!
I have been using iWeb to create my blog. It was easy and connected all my mac items together. Well, the old saying about good things coming to an end is true – iWeb has come to an end, sadly. I’ve decided to switch to WordPress and see how it goes.
